M O M E N T S

It all started as a hobby as I picked up my sister's Olympus 3.2 megapixel compact camera (yes, you heard me, a 3.2 compact camera) and started taking photos of things around me at the age of 13. What started as me just enjoying taking photos of people, I started receiving requests from people if I could also take their photos.

I did not have my own camera back then hence I felt deep within myself that I couldn't pursue photography as far as I wanted to, to which my parents agreed to give me a DSLR with the condition that I would do well for my exams.

At the age of 15, I received my DSLR and it was then, the beginning of a very exciting journey :)

Photography has been such a wonderful roller coaster ride, one that I would never trade anything else in the world with - the new people I meet, the unique stories they share and the joy that I get to share with them as these precious moments are captured - it has been so very worth it.

When people ask what is the one thing I love the most about photography, I love seeing the smiles on my clients' faces when they look at their photos and it gives me just so much joy knowing that these are precious moments captured that they can always look back on with smiles :)

As this may also be my last few photoshoot sessions, I would like to open up three photoshoot slots from January to March 2018.

The  M O M E N T S  project is open for families and couples - be it those who are celebrating 25 beautiful years of marriage, young couples with their newly added addition to the family, or mothers to be.

If you and your other half believe in cherishing and capturing moments, moments that you can look back on with smiles and laughter - I would love to be apart of this beautiful journey with you :)

Here are some FAQs which may just come in handy for you:

Q: What is the duration of a photoshoot?

Each photoshoot time slot will range between 1-1.5 hours, this is subject to change as it also depends on the type of photoshoot & size of the group.

Q: Where will be the photoshoot be?

There will be a list of photoshoot places to choose from for photoshoots in Penang and Kuala Lumpur, however if you have any specific places in mind, do let me know right away as your photographer right here looks forward to any opportunity to travel!

Q: What will I receive from this photoshoot?

An online album gallery of 40 high resolution photos that you can also share with your family and friends!

If you are interested or would like to know more about this project, feel free to drop me a message via email or find me on Instagram. I look forward to see where the road may lead :)

UPDATE : All 3 photoshoot slots in Malaysia have been filled up however, I am just extending just ONE more photoshoot slot in Malaysia, so do drop me a msg if you are interested for a photoshoot session between Jan to March 2018!

Beauty & Fashion Photoshoot with Alina

She stepped into the classroom in her bright coloured jumpsuit and while she rushed right into the classroom with her heels slapping against the floor, "Morning, Miss!", she greeted with a warm smile on her face that lighted up the classroom. I remember thinking to myself "This girl is gorgeous!". Not only was she one who made heads turned with her beauty but she also had style.

Fast forward to today, and I must say that she is still just as passionate in make up and beauty (if not, more passionate than before actually). And I'm proud of this girl because she finally took that bold step to take her love for beauty and make up a step further as she is now on Instagram! Follow her if you'd like to see contents from her!

Fashion and beauty has never been my forte if you can't already tell, hah!, but I'm glad that I had the opportunity to shoot for Alina. Scroll down if you'd like to see how Alina rocks just 1 make up look with 3 different outfits for 3 different occasions. Enjoy the photos!

For not only taking your passion in beauty and fashion a step further but also how you light up the room with your charisma and joy - indeed you are beautiful, Alina!
I'm so proud of you and know that I'm cheering you on, always.

Love,
Bestie.

Raymond Has Graduated!

Hello, everyone!

Hope all of you are doing well as 2017 is slowly drawing towards an end in just 2+ months time! (Say whuuttttt?!) Anyways, here's a new update on the blog featuring the fresh graduate from Taylor's University, Raymond ThianIf there was a quote which I could use to describe Raymond, it would be "A friend in need is a friend indeed".

I remember how I once panicked/stressed/loss my hair over Research Methods a few semesters ago and Ray, without any hesitation, came by to teach me despite spending the entire day in a conference with very little sleep. Trust me when I say that I'm sure that I am not the only one who has been blessed by Ray's kind heart and empathy towards those around him :)

Hence, when Ray asked if I could help take photos for him and his family and friends on his graduation day, without any hesitation, I said yes to it! Having the opportunity to shoot another outdoor graduation photoshoot just like the previous one with Le Anne gives me great pleasure to do another graduation photoshoot for this one. So without further ado, here are the graduation photoshoot photos with Raymond Thian :)

Congratulations again and Rock on, Mr Potato 💪
Thank you for being such a blessing in our lives
Cheering you on for an exciting and fullfiling YWA chapter in your life!

At Home Session with the Lam Family

One of the things which I really like about photography done in the western countries is the exposure to photoshoots at home also known as At Home Session, whereby the photographer shoots the daily life of the family as they go about their daily routine. This breaks away from the usual tradition of "smiling and posing for the camera intentionally".

Of course, things sometimes do sound nicer as it seems and I can say this as a photographer myself as well - sometimes, there is part of me inside that is itching to get rid of that soft toy in the background while shooting or wiping the table again cause of the finger prints but then again, what is the purpose of photographing At Home Sessions after all hey? Hence I truly do admire photographers who capture beautiful and meaningful shots despite the kids running around shirtless at home, with the laundry pilling up like a mountain - hats off to these photographers AND clients who not only trust their photographers but also know how to enjoy themselves :)

While the previous At Home Session was with the Chin Family right before welcoming Baby Ted (who is now 14 months old!), I'm so glad that I got to do another At Home Session with this precious family who recently just welcomed their precious lil baby boy into the family. Hence, as promised, here is another update on the blog - it's the At Home Session featuring the Lam Family.

Ezra Lam, you are too cute!

Congratulations again, Joseph and Joyce Lam :)
You both are doing a wonderful job as parents and I know for sure that Ezra is so very blessed and loved!
